is located in Watermead Country Park, Wanlip Road, Syston  - Post Code LE7 1PD

How to Find Us:

We are located north-east of Leicester, immediately adjacent to the A46, between the villages of Syston and Wanlip. The country park’s Main Entrance can be accessed from Wanlip Road, Syston, near to the Hope and Anchor pub (LE7 1PD) - The LRYSA SITE is marked on the map with * (next to the car park)

Opening Times

Watermead North car park allows entry from 7am each morning until dusk. They do not permit overnight parking or camping.

Car Park Prices

All-day parking at Watermead costs just £2.50. Please ensure you have the correct change on arrival. All proceeds from car parking charges go into the maintenance and upkeep of the Park (not to the LRYSA). 

Season Tickets

If you are a regular visitor to this park or other Leicestershire County Council Country Parks you could save money with a car park Season Ticket, which is valid for all the parks. For just £60 (plus £10 deposit) you could save money and eliminate the hassle of searching for change every visit.  For more information and an application form, please contact our helpdesk on 0116 3055000.

The Lake is situated in a lovely spot - why not bring a picnic along when the warmer weather comes?

Countryside Code

Help us to keep our country parks safe and enjoyable for all visitors by respecting the Countryside Code and bylaws.

– Keep dogs under close control

– Leave gates and property as you find them

– Do not pick wild flowers or remove any other flora

– Do not swim in any of our lakes or ponds, nor let your dog(s) swim

– Do not light fires
