RYA Push the Boat Out is getting the nation on the water!

Saturday 13th & Saturday 20th May 2017

This RYA National Event sees hundreds of sailing clubs and training centres up and down the country offering free or low cost ‘have a go’ sailing taster sessions and open days.

The event takes place each year at the LYRSA Base at John Merrick's Lake.

What Happens on ’ Push the Boat Out’ weekend?

The LRYSA offer 1 hour sessions from 10am until 4pm. If you want to come along and ‘have a go’ you will be taken out onto the water by fully qualified RYA instructors. Our fully trained Safety Crews will ensure your safety and buoyancy aids will be provided. All ages are welcome from 7 to 80 +

Once you’ve had a taster session, had fun, felt the wind in your hair, pop in to the clubhouse for a cuppa and a chat. Learn more about what training courses the LRYSA has to offer for Children and Adults.

The Leicestershire Youth Racing Team will be there demonstrating what can be achieved and enjoyed under the guidance of fully qualified instructors and coaches.

The lake is set in a beautiful country park with walks and picnic areas. So why not come along and make a day of it with the family.
